On March 19, the teachers of the Public Health Department of the Educational and Scientific Medical Institute of Sumy State University took part in the founding meeting on the planning of joint activities in the university partnership program within the framework of the USAID project “Development of a Sustainable Public Health System”. This meeting is the first step in establishing close coordination and cooperation between Ukrainian and American universities. The main goal of the USAID project “Building a Sustainable Public Health System” is to increase the capacity of the Government of Ukraine to perform the main functions of public health at the national, regional, and local levels. To build the potential for the development of national human resources, the Project starts a sub-activity with the cooperation of educational institutions in Ukraine and the USA on the training of a new generation of public health specialists who possess proven knowledge and skills.
