The head of the Department of Public Health, Vladyslav SMIYANOV, attended the training with international participation “Fundamentals of effective leadership and management”, which took place in the city of Uzhhorod from April 8 to 12, 2024.
The training was held within the framework of the USAID project “Development of a sustainable public health system” and the partnership of Temple University (USA) for representatives of three public health departments of Ukrainian universities, which are included in the partnership program based on the results of competitive selection.
The training program included interactive exercises, discussions, problem-oriented tasks that revealed the essence, technologies, processes and mechanisms of leadership development as a purposeful process of forming relevant qualities and skills. The training was conducted with the participation of William Aaronson, PhD, associate professor of the Department of Public Health Management and Policy, Temple University College of Public Health, USA and representatives of the Dornsife School of Public Health, Drexel University, USA; Health Federation of Philadelphia, USA.
