Meeting of the student scientific group of the Department of Public Health “Immunoprophylaxis – health of the nation”

On April 30, a meeting of the student scientific group “Immunoprophylaxis – The Health of the Nation” was held at the Department of Public Health. The event was held as part of World Immunization Week, which took place from April 24 to 30, 2024, and was designed to draw attention to the collective action needed to protect people from vaccine-preventable diseases. Students of Specialties 222 Medicine discussed successes in the field of immunoprophylaxis in historical and modern aspects, issues of vaccination of pregnant women, and modern challenges for immunization. Students of the specialty 221 Dentistry focused on modern scientific achievements in the immunoprophylaxis of caries and periodontal diseases. Students of the 229 Public Health specialty familiarized all participants of the seminar with the regional Strategies for the development of immunoprophylaxis and population protection from infectious diseases that can be prevented through immunoprophylaxis for the period up to 2030.
This meeting inspired all participants with new ideas for the development of the strategy of educational work at the regional level on key issues of immunization.
