November 3 marks the annual One Health Day. Its purpose is to draw attention to the need for a One Health approach to address common threats to human, animal, and environmental health. It has been officially celebrated worldwide since 2016.
One Health is an approach that recognizes that human health is closely linked to animal health and the environment. There is a large European One Health program that brings together 44 partners: research institutions, universities, and laboratories that conduct research in the field of One Health.
The World Health Organization (WHO) office in Ukraine is showing its respect and spreading the word about the upcoming One Health Day. The WHO, in collaboration with international partners (EU, FAO, WOAH, UNEP), is organizing a webinar on the topic: “Climate change and its impact on communicable diseases.”
The webinar will take place on November 3, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Kyiv time) in an online format (Zoom).
The webinar aims to:
-raise awareness among stakeholders about the link between climate change and the emergence or re-emergence of communicable diseases;
-share evidence and present current observations and trends in human health, animal health, and environmental protection;
-facilitate dialogue and explore opportunities for international partners to strengthen coordination and join forces.
Participation in the webinar is free of charge, subject to prior registration: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84568639984?pwd=jEIFHr7WLVplHhI9tjSHBspsA0g9FX.1
