The teacher of the Department of Public Health Tetiana Ivakhniuk took part in the 7th Congress on beneficial microorganisms PRO-PRE BIOTIC 2025. As part of the event, the associate professor of the department joined the master class “Pro- and prebiotics in pediatrics and their interdisciplinary application”, dedicated to the latest approaches to the use of pro- and prebiotics in the prevention and treatment of infectious and non-infectious diseases.
During the congress and the master class, participants had the opportunity to learn about practical cases, discuss current research in the use of pro- and prebiotics, and exchange experiences with colleagues from other educational and medical institutions. The main topics were: 1) Evolution of the microbiome and probiotic therapy; 2) IT tools for gut microbiota management; 3) Nutritional therapy of the microbiome; 4) The birth of the microbiome: a common view of an obstetrician-gynecologist and a neonatologist; 4) Pro- and prebiotics in pediatrics and their interdisciplinary use, etc.
The acquired knowledge and skills will contribute to further improvement of the educational process, the development of scientific work at the department, as well as the introduction of innovative approaches to the formation of a healthy lifestyle in students.
