Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health of the Academic and Research Medical Institute of Sumy State University Tetaina Ivakhniuk completed the thematic improvement course “Study of the sensitivity of microorganisms to antibacterial drugs according to EUCAST requirements.” Thematic improvement courses were held based on the educational and scientific medical institute NTU “KhPI” (Kharkov) from February 16 to February 22, 2023. EUCAST recommendations and methods were considered during the thematic improvement to determine the mechanisms of resistance and specific resistance, which have clinical and/or been approved by the European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. Also, the issues of how to interpret the results of EUCAST methods and how to use these results by the AWaRe classification database were looked at.
