Yuriy Vasyliev, associate professor of the Department of Public Health. Received a History of Science and Medicine Fellowship is jointly sponsored by the Linda Hall Library under Dr. Benjamin Gross and the Clendening History of Medicine Library under Dr. Christopher Crenner Department of History and Philosophy of Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center (USA). The purpose of Vasyliev’s work at the Linda Hall Library and Clendening History of Medicine Library will be to collect materials that will allow him to articulate the features of these medical reform movements. It is important to compare and contrast the development of medical police, social hygiene, and public health initiatives in Ukraine, as well as in English-speaking countries.
