From 1 to November 7, 2021 within the framework of the scientific internship, a group of scientists from Sumy State University, namely Professor Vladislav Smiianov, the Head of the Department of Public Health; Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health, Victoriia Yasenok; Head of the Center for Sociological Research, Doctor of Political Sciences, Andriana Kostenko; Candidate of Political Sciences, Mykola Nazarov; Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Yulia Savelieva; Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Natalia Teslyk and leading specialist of the Department of Psychology, Kristina Sakhno havisited Warsaw Medical University.
Within the framework of the visit, the meetings with Professor Mariusz Guisky, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Warsaw Medical University; Professor Robert Halonzkowski, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Nutrition, Medical Care and Public Health; representatives of the publishing house of scientific medical journals ALUNA: director of the publishing house Anna Luchynska, scientific editor and head of the department of international cooperation, doctor of medical sciences Lesya Rudenko, and head of the subscription department Bartosh Guterman took place.
During the meetings, the issues of planned mutual cooperation both at the scientific and academic levels were discussed. The issues concerned, in particular, common scientific publications and exchanging of students and teachers within the framework of academic mobility programs. The scientists had a possibility to exchange the experience in issues related to the functioning of society during the COVID-19 pandemic. Representatives from both universities discussed the most important, relevant public health issues, including a question on understanding of the importance of vaccination against COVID-19 and methods to eliminate fake news that undermine its safety and confidence.
The visit of scientists to the Warsaw Medical University initiated a process of scientific-didactic cooperation between educational centers aimed at international exchange and joint researches.
