On December 19, 2024, under the auspices of the student directorate of the Academic and Research Medical Institute of SumDU, a meeting of the student scientific circle of the Department of Public Health was held, which was dedicated to the topic “Alzheimer’s disease: pathophysiology and microbiology, prevention”. The speakers were students of the specialties “Medicine” and “Public Health”. During the event, the participants got acquainted with modern ideas about pathogenesis, clinic, features of differential diagnostics and a new view on the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, reports were presented on the importance of the “brain-gut axis” in the development of Alzheimer’s disease and the principles of personalized therapy of this disease.
