We congratulate the teachers of the department — Alina Pikhtirova (project manager) and Zhanna Klishchova on winning the competition of joint Ukrainian-Polish scientific research projects to be implemented in 2023-2024. The topic of the project is defined within the priority areas of research: life sciences, new technologies, health and prevention of the most common diseases, biotechnology, bioengineering and genetics; ecology and environmental management.
The purpose of the research is to determine the effect of biologically active components of plant origin on the production of methane, which is one of the most powerful gases that cause global warming, in the ruminants’ stomachs. It should be noted that the project received the highest score (22 points out of 22 possible!) and is a good impetus
for further close scientific cooperation with our Polish colleagues.
